Tonight: FEARLESS telling

We all have stories to tell. The search, the arrest, the sentencing, the struggle to survive, the grief, the happy reunion, the neighbors' reactions, the kindness, the cruelty.

With whom do you share your stories? How do your listeners respond? Is there a way to educate when we share our stories? Come share your storytelling (truth-telling!) failures and successes. Your experience can help someone else.

FEARLESS is a collaboration of Nebraskans Unafraid and UNO that counteracts dangerous Nebraska law. Research has shown that isolating Registered Citizens, depriving them of jobs and homes, increases the chances that they will reoffend. Current Nebraska law does exactly that. We live in a state where (research has shown that) sex-offender law makes communities more dangerous.

FEARLESS provides an opportunity for Registered Citizens and their loved ones to connect and learn from one another and support one another. Establishing such social networks reduces the likelihood of reoffense. Even though the reoffense rates for sex offenders are extremely low to start with, there is no excuse for grandstanding politicians who make the state more dangerous with their showboating laws.

FEARLESS takes responsibility where our politicians will not. Please join us at 7 p.m. Monday, June 15, at Saint Michael Lutheran Church, 13232 Blondo Street, Omaha. Park in the east lot and come in through the east entrance.

FEARLESS is exclusively for Registered Citizens and their invited guests.

  1. BOYCOTT ALL AMERICAN PRODUCTS

Do not feed the dog that bites you.

The US economy depends on us buying their products. The taxes from this pay the salaries of the people

    who persecute you.

    Shift to non-US products.

The following are examples, not endorsements:

    COMPUTERS AND ELECTRONICS
    - Do not buy Microsoft, Apple, HP, Dell or other American computer products.
    - Buy Asus (Taiwan), Toshiba, Sony (Japan), Samsung (Korea).
    - Use free Linux based, many applications, like word processing, video editing, like Knoppix operating

    system.
    - Mobile or smart phone or ipad buy Samsung (Korea), or SonyErikson (Japan-Sweden).
    - TV screens: Samsung or LG (Korea), or Sony (Japan).

    FOOD
    - Coffee: Instead of Starbucks, Peets, or Maxwell House coffee, buy Lavazza (Italian) or Illy (Italian)
    - Buy imported wine, cheese, jam.
    - Buy Maggie (Swiss)

Go to Asian specialty stores to find products from Asia.
Find Latin American products at Latino specialty stores:
Buy Tecate, Modelo, Dos Equis and other good Mexican beers
    Buy cortijo Mexican country cheese.

    AUTOMOTIVE:

    - Cars: Instead of Ford or GM or Chrysler, Fiat (Italy), others.
    - Tires - Hankook, Kumho (South Korea), Yokohama (Japan), Pirelli (Italy), others.

    CLOTHING:

Shoes: you can find many non-American shoe brands.

    TRAVEL:

    - Air travel - KLM (Dutch), Air China (China), Eva (Taiwan), Korean (Korea), Asiana (Japan) many others.
    - Do not book with US hotel agencies, like Trivago.

If you are not sure about the origin of a product, check the website or wiki.

Some countries not boycotted (so far) may be just as much witch hunt countries, but that does not render

the boycott of one witch-hunt country any less valid, and we can still make them compete with each other

    for our dollars.

It does not matter if you use American products if you already have them or if someone else owns them,

as long as you do not give them new money.

If you agree, pass the word.
